“A jug of wine, a loaf of bread, and a blog art all I need to sustain me.” So goes the conventional wisdom. There is truth in this statement, for blogging is a vital form of communication. We are always being reminded of the value of communicating with others. And, a loaf of bread helps provide some nutrition to keep you going while you blog (besides providing the necessary fiber needed to keep you going when you clog). For sure, the wine assists in helping to free the imagination for blogging, besides being a ready-made excuse for what one posts on their blog. So, let us “eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we blog.” Ah, the wisdom of the ancients!

In venturing forth with this blog I hope to relate helpful information regarding one of my primary undertakings in life, namely, the writing of my sci-fi/fantasy fiction series, ‘The Chronicles of Emeraldia.’ With three volumes published, and three more written, it is only fair that I provide a forum for those with inquiring minds to query and contribute regarding the stories. Should you be one of those so unfortunate as to have not read the works, you should head immediately to Amazon.com, and either order them in paperback, or Kindle, and set off on an adventure that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

What is the title of the first book, you ask? It is, ‘Into the Blood of the Sun.’ I can say at this point that I have tried to mold a primary character by using my wife as a template. She will deny all affiliations to the character, but such is her modesty. What will be evident to any who have ever met her is that she is warm, gracious, suffering from a touch of innocent naiveté, and always ready to defend the downtrodden. Beauty and brains? Of course!  Hard working? You go, girl! This character, Veranna, is so ready to get into the thick of things but does not even know it. You will enjoy seeing what she experiences, and become an advocate regardless of your literary tastes.

It won’t be long before a great window of opportunity presents itself. ‘Into the Blood of the Sun’ will be available for free download through Amazon Kindle in the very near future. Unless you crave heroism, engaging characters, good versus evil, mysterious lands and creatures, and profoundly faithful devotees, then this story is for you now at a very reasonable price!
